Symbol II (Spell)
As Symbol I, except it allows the following effects:
- Symbol of Fear (Necromancy) Mind-Affecting
- Sighted creatures within 60 ft become panicked for 1 round per level (Will negates). Material component cost is 1,000 gp.
- Symbol of Persuasion (Enchantment) Mind-Affecting
- Sighted creatures within 60 ft are affected as in Charm Monster (Will negates), with respect to you. If evoked, the duration is 1 minute/level; if inscribed, it is 1 hour/level. This symbol can be obscured like a Symbol of Thought. Material component cost is 5,000 gp.
- Symbol of Force (Transmutation) Force
- All creatures within 60 ft are pushed either directly away from the symbol in a radial pattern, or all in a certain direction chosen at the time of casting. This symbol is not sight-dependent. Affected creatures must pass a Fortitude save. On success, their movement is checked; they still cannot move in the opposite direction of the symbol (i.e. toward the center if radial), but they are not moved against their will. If the save fails, the creature is pushed back 60 ft and knocked prone. If the creature collides with a solid object such as a wall, it suffers 6d6 falling damage; otherwise, it suffers 2d6 from the pressure of the effect.
:If the force is directed upward, affected creatures become nearly weightless, gaining a +30 to Jump checks, and suffering a -8 to defend against trip checks due to their decreased sturdiness. This force is not powerful enough to toss the creatures up in the air.
:If evoked, the effect lasts 1 round per 6 levels. If inscribed, it lasts 10 minutes per level. Material component cost is 1,000 gp.
